Next Level is a three-person, family-owned custom pool contractor based in Maitland — Robbie Taylor designs and builds, Jesse runs the field, Melissa handles the front of the house. The same three people on every project.

Robbie Taylor

Robbie founded Next Level in 2018 with a deliberate plan: stay small enough that the person who draws the pool is also the person on-site when it's poured. Years of pool work before that taught him what every production-builder shortcut actually costs the homeowner two seasons later.

He runs the design conversation, draws the plan, holds the Florida CPC license, and is on the job for every structural stage — steel, gunite, plumbing tie-ins, plaster.

02 · Field Lead

Jesse

Project Lead · Build Coordination

Jesse runs day-to-day on the job. He's the person sequencing the trades, walking inspectors through, catching the problem before it becomes a callback, and keeping every active project on the same calendar.

If you're mid-build and want to know what's happening this week — whether the gunite crew slid a day, when tile starts, what's blocking deck — Jesse's the one with the answer in his head, not on a printed schedule.

Melissa T

Front of House · Client Services

Every email, every phone call, every quote request that comes in goes through Melissa first. She's the person you'll exchange the most messages with — and the reason "we'll get back to you within a business day" is actually true here, not a stalling tactic.

She also handles permits, scheduling, change orders, and the small-but-constant communication that keeps a 12-week build from feeling like a black box.

A Short History

Built deliberately, not aggressively.

    Founded in Maitland

    Robbie Taylor opens Next Level Pools and Spas as a one-person custom contractor. First builds in Maitland, Winter Park, and Casselberry — relationships that still send referrals today.

    Florida CPC1457422 issued

    Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Certified Pool/Spa Contractor license — issued and held continuously since founding.

  3. 2020

    Jesse joins as field lead

    Bringing on a dedicated field coordinator lets Robbie spend more time in design and structural reviews while every active job stays on calendar.

  4. 2022

    Melissa joins, completes the team

    Front-of-house communication becomes Melissa's full-time job — and the reason every quote request now gets answered the same business day instead of the same week.

Most pool companies tell you what they do. These are the things we explicitly don't — because they're how the rest of the industry quietly underdelivers.

Sub the build out

The face you sign with is the face on the job. We don't hand structural work to a foreman you've never met after the contract is signed.

Quote at the kitchen table

No pressure-close pricing on the first visit. We measure, take it back, draw, and send a written scope. You can compare it to anything.

Take more work than three people can stand behind

Hard cap on active projects — set by what we can actually be on-site for, not by what the calendar could fit.

Disappear at warranty

Plaster cures, equipment ships, cracks happen. We pick up the phone. You're calling the same Melissa as during the build.

Hide upsells in the line items

Every estimate is written against a scaled drawing with specified finishes. The line items match the drawing. No "general contingency" surprise charges.

Pull from a template library

No catalog of "Pool A, Pool B, Pool C." Every project gets drawn for the specific lot, the home's architecture, and how the family actually plans to use the backyard.
